Aim of the Pre-Prep

Pre-Prep is just the start of the Longacre journey, where children are given the confidence and motivation to explore the world around them. Our aim is to make the Pre-Prep an exciting, stimulating and enjoyable experience which will help establish the skills necessary for successful learning, but will also inspire within the children, the joy of discovery.

The Pre-Prep years are a crucial time in a child’s life, when ideas and attitudes laid down at this stage will have a profound effect on their approach to learning. We are well aware of our responsibility in this respect and it is one we take very seriously. With this in mind, we look to provide for our children not only a first class learning environment, but one in which the child can feel safe and secure, and most importantly, valued. The Pre-Prep children are members of our school community and benefit enormously from being part of the House System, playing with the older children and appreciating the extensive opportunities a wider community offers.

We present the children with an appropriate curriculum, which is designed to challenge and inspire but to also allow the children to be successful. Our Pre-Prep academic profile scores far outweigh both the Surrey and national scores every year. We support the children with a staff of highly qualified and experienced professionals who support children in every aspect of their development; in their academic achievement, at the same time as their happiness, well-being and progress.
