Mrs Elana Pickering

Before Longacre

Having grown up and taught in Australia, I came backpacking to the UK about 15 years ago and never went home! Since then I have taught in schools in central London, including most recently as Assistant Head and year 3 form teacher at St Paul’s Cathedral School. In that role I sat on the school’s senior leadership team, taught English, Maths and IPC, lead staff development, and was girls’ tutor.

Role at Longacre

On the birth of my daughter, our family moved out to Surrey and I was pleased to join Longacre in 2020. My current position at Longacre is Form I Teacher.

Away From the Classroom

I love the outdoors and enjoy walking, gardening and sports (particularly netball) in my spare time. I haven’t lost my enjoyment of travel, and try to go somewhere new each year.  At home I like nothing better than sitting in the garden with a good book, or having a nice meal out at our local pub with my family.

Open Morning 24th September

We are very excited to be able to host in person Open Days at Longacre once again. Our next Open Morning will be taking place on Friday 24th September. We warmly invite you to come and tour the school, meet some of our pupils and have a chat to members of our Senior Leadership team. We look forward to meeting you!
