The children in Form I and Form IV were very lucky to have Tennis Masterclasses this week with Nigel Allingham. Nigel is Head Coach at Worth School and a very highly qualified Level 5 LTA Performance Master coach so it was a fantastic opportunity for the Longacre children.
The Form I children were extremely enthusiastic and energetic – learning ball skills, movement, footwork and rallying skills and showed great promise in all areas. Splat tennis was their favourite!
The Form IV girls showed some star quality with more advanced footwork and movement and working on controlled rallies and serve. Nigel had countless fun games and skills that kept them guessing all afternoon and there was lots of laughter ringing out around the astro which is what its all about!
We are very grateful to Nigel for coming over to run the sessions and hope to see him again really soon.
