Life At Nursery

Drop off and Pick up

Our devoted staff will welcome you at our dedicated entrances to ensure a positive and warm start to the day. At drop off your child can either settle into some breakfast or settle and play with our educators.

At home time, children and staff are ready to welcome you, with staff ready to share all the adventures and learning your child has experienced throughout the day.

Child led play

Children are encouraged to explore all our learning areas both inside and out throughout the course of the day. Whether they want to build with blocks, go bug hunting with binoculars or create a masterpiece on the easels, our staff will play alongside the children and using their interests, extend the learning creating new experiences and adventures.

Specialist Led learning

Each day the children are joined by a specialist teacher for a group session in either PE, Forest school, Music or French, providing them with new learning opportunities around the school site. These sessions are specifically planned to open up a bigger world of experiences for the children.

Sleep and rest

With busy days of play and learning, spaces to sleep and rest are essential. Our nursery rooms easily convert into quiet relaxation spaces where the children can recharge before continuing on their daily adventures, with separate dedicated spaces for children who no longer require a rest.

Mealtimes

At lunch time our Nursery children head to the school dining room where all meals are freshly prepared by our wonderful kitchen team provided by Thomas Franks, with the menu designed in conjunction with nutritionist Christine Bailey.

All snacks and lunch are provided throughout the day, with the option to include breakfast and tea as part of our extended day offering.
