Interim Bursar (Maternity Cover)
The Head and Governing Body of Longacre School are looking to appoint an Interim Bursar to the Senior Leadership Team, as maternity cover for the current Bursar. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Bursar to play a brief but pivotal role in the continued success of this leading independent school, working as part of a successful Senior Leadership Team and leading and developing a high-performing support team. The successful candidate will have proven experience of leadership, financial management skills and commercial awareness. He or she will have excellent interpersonal skills and have a strong sense of purpose and commitment to the organisation
The Bursar reports to the Head on a day to day basis on operational matters and to the Chairman of Governors on matters of governance. The Bursar is also in regular contact with the Chair of the Finance Committee. The overall responsibility of the Bursar is to lead and manage the non-academic functions of the school, which include finance, estates, HR, catering and other support functions of the school.
This is a maternity cover contract for up to 12 months starting September 2022, an earlier start date may be considered.
