The school runs a daily morning and afternoon minibus service. There are three daily morning bus routes covering Guildford, Godalming, Cranleigh and the surrounding villages and two daily afternoon bus routes currently covering the Guildford and Godalming areas. We listen to parental requests for additional routes and stops and we are currently testing an additional bus route that would cover Silent Pool, Gomshall, Abinger, Holmbury St Mary, Forest Green, and Ewhurst.
The service is available to children from Reception to Year 6, and bus routes and pick up times are subject to change according to demand. If your area is not covered by any of our current routes and you would like to make use of the service please contact the School Office office@longacreschool.co.uk to express your interest.
Parents are able to make use of the Longacre Bus Tracker app which allows you to track your child’s minibus and receive proximity alerts. It will also tell you when your child has safely boarded or disembarked the minibus.
Please see below for further details on pick up times and locations. Please note the service is very popular and some routes may have a waiting list.
Please visit our Fees & Funding page for details of the cost for the minibus.

Cycle Bus
This facility is run throughout the Summer Term and is provided for all children from Years IV – VI who are capable of riding unassisted a two-wheel bike . Those children in Year III & Pre-Prep wishing to join the cycling bus must be accompanied by a parent. The cycling bus is led by members of staff and parents are invited. Departure is from the old Bramley railway station (next to St Catherine’s School) at 8:10am and takes the route along the old railway line, which involves no main roads. Bikes are stored at school in the cycle shelter at the owner’s risk.
Walking Bus
On Fridays the School runs a ‘Walking Bus’. Staff, parents and children meet outside the Arbuthnot Hall in Shamley Green and walk to school together. The walking bus departs the Arbuthnot Hall at 8:15am – all parents, children and dogs are welcome. Children receive additional House Points for participating in this event.
