Trafalgar’s Charity Day on Thursday 28th February saw the whole school take on various skipping challenges to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. The day started off with an assembly led by Trafalgar’s house committee Charlie, Alex, Sam, Oliver, Cassius and Harry. They informed the children about the work that the British Heart Foundation do and how the money raised will be spent. The teachers set the bar for the day by setting records on the various skipping challenges. If the children were able to beat the teacher’s records they could win three house points. Thankfully the teachers (apart from Mr Blewitt) set a very low bar!
The children all behaved impeccably during the skipping challenge with lots of teamwork needed to achieve high scores on the challenges. The generosity of the Longacre community has overwhelmed me with the total amount raised well over the £2,000 mark with more donations still coming in. A fantastic day raising money for a deserving cause; the Longacre spirit was truly shining bright on Thursday!
