Charity Day for WaterAid

Posted: 5th July 2019

On Monday we hosted our Agincourt Charity Day in support of WaterAid. We were delighted to welcome our guest speaker, Barrie Lawrence to talk to children in Reception to Year V about the plight of those in many parts of the developing world who still do not have access to clean water.  The children also learnt how WaterAid uses their donations to help these people and improve their water supplies and sanitation. Not only did the children ask Barrie some fascinating questions, they also spent an hour in the afternoon doing a “Walk for Water” which involved balancing cups of water on their heads and making their way across an obstacle course.

Our “Walk for Water” raised £1000 – this amount could train ten Water Warriors to fix water points in areas most in need.  This makes a world of difference for hundreds of families. Your generosity has been amazing! Thank you!
