A very warm welcome to our new school chef, Simeon. Having started his career at the Frimley Hall hotel as an apprentice in the 90’s, Simeon has been in the hospitality industry for almost 25 years, the last 10 years working as a Head Chef at various conference centres and hotels and at the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Royal Berkshire Racquets Club.
After qualifying as a chef and three years of 2* rosette food, Simeon decided he needed to see more of the world and went to live in France and Austria where he worked in chalets and ski resorts such as Valloire and Kitzbuhel. Hence why his cuisine is heavily French influenced.
Simeon is a dad to two young boys, 4 year old William and 10 month old James, who keep him and his partner Nicola active. He is an avid runner, having completed the London (3 times), Paris, Amsterdam and Boston marathons.
“Food is very important to me and my family and I really see no difference with my career and want to bring as much excitement and joy to venturing to try and explore new flavours, textures and dishes whilst also being responsive towards each individual’s needs” he says.
We look forward to hearing more about Simeon’s exciting plans for catering at Longacre in the weeks to come.Categories: News
