The U11 hockey girls travelled to Worth School on Monday to attend a hockey masterclass with Simon Faulkner, Head of Hockey at Worth. It was a fantastic afternoon with all 22 players learning new skills and refining techniques in all aspects of the game. Simon focused a lot on defending, giving the Longacre girls intensive drills and techniques for tackling and channelling whilst encouraging them all to dribble and move the ball with more confidence. The Astro at Worth was a far from quiet place with a lot a shouting and laughter and everyone came away having learnt a lot and enjoyed themselves immensely.
A huge thanks must go once again to Simon for giving us his time and expertise and Worth School for their hospitality – the Longacre girls loved it and did the school proud with their effort and enthusiasm.
