Before Longacre

Born in France to a French mother and an English father, I studied English at the University of Bordeaux then the University of Versailles while, at the same time, teaching English to adults and teenagers. During my studies, I took a gap year to work as a French teaching assistant in two secondary schools in Reading. I had such a lovely time and enjoyed sharing my love of the French language and culture so much that I decided to move to England and become a French teacher. Two years later, after obtaining my master’s degree in English Literature and History, I enrolled at the University of Oxford where I completed my teacher training. I then worked for 4 years in a secondary school as a French and Spanish teacher as well as a Form Tutor before joining Longacre in 2018.

Roles at school

I am delighted to be Head of Modern Foreign Languages and to be able to share my passion for languages in my lessons as well as in my French Club. I am also a co-Form Tutor for Form V and teach Games, which never fails to bring back fond memories of my time as a Secondary School PE Prefect back in France.

Away from the classroom

When I am not teaching, I enjoy baking, cooking, reading, travelling, and spending time with my family and friends. Whenever I get the chance, I also like to take a cultural trip to London to watch a good play or explore an art museum.
