Before Longacre

Whilst studying for my A Levels, I volunteered in a local primary school and tutored my friends’ younger siblings to help prepare them for their Maths GCSEs. These experiences confirmed that teaching was the career for me! I graduated from Roehampton University in 2011 and took up my first teaching position within Year 3. In 2015, I decided to pursue Maths as a specialism and so moved to Feltonfleet School. Here, I spent 3 years teaching Maths and Girls’ Games and had responsibility for a Year 8 tutor group. I learnt a huge amount as a specialist teacher, but was keen to get back into the primary classroom and enjoy the variety which being a class teacher provides.

Roles at school

I am a Form III Form Tutor and also teach Girls’ Games. Alongside this, I enjoy getting to know more of the children within the school as Head of Forms III and IV.

Away from the classroom

In my spare time I love to spend time with family and friends. Most of my weekends involve much time outdoors, mainly playing hockey and cricket and going for long walks. I also enjoy watching most sports, especially Fulham FC (someone has to…).
