Longacre School

Policies

Longacre has an extensive list of policy documents which ensure that the school runs effectively and efficiently.

All policy documents can be obtained from the School Office upon request. The main policy documents can be downloaded below.

Child Protection (Safeguarding)

The school has a duty of care to all children attending the school. Should the school have any concerns regarding a pupil’s welfare, health or well-being; the parents will be contacted in the first instance, where appropriate. Similarly, if parents have concerns regarding the welfare of any pupil, the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) should be contacted. All staff members receive annual training regarding child protection and the surrounding issues.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), for the school is Mr Ben Moir, Deputy Head.  There are also three Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads: Mrs Tara Pandey, Head of Forms V&VI and Head of Art & DT and Mrs Sheila Manson, Form V Teacher and Miss Jemma Winterton (EYFS) Kindergarten Leader.  The Head has overall responsibility for any child protection issues.

For further details of procedures, please see the school’s Safeguarding Policy which is updated annually or as and when regulation changes.
