Life before Longacre

Before joining Longacre I began my journey of working with children in a local infant school. There I spent a year with Year One and moved up with them to Year Two; it was fantastic to take this step of the journey together. After taking a very special year out to have my daughter, I worked in the Pre-school and in the last two years helped to establish the new nursery. It was there that I discovered my love for the Early Years and knew that this was the path I wanted to pursue. I decided to study to become an Early Years educator. I share the children’s wonder for the great outdoors and have been very lucky to work with such a wide age range of children; it is wonderful to be able to watch them develop and grow on their own school experience.

Roles at School

I am a teaching assistant in the Kindergarten.

Away from the Classroom

I enjoy plenty of art and crafts with my little girl, and am currently tackling the art of knitting (I’m not sure that my scarf will be ready in time for winter!). I love to try new things and I love to get outdoors, explore new places, go for long walks and find a reason to get my wellie boots out!
