Life before Longacre

After leaving school I studied history at Aberystwyth University and guitar at the Academy of Contemporary Music with dreams of recording an album and touring the world! After it quickly became apparent that I would be lucky to tour the Surrey Hills, I started coaching football at various schools across the county with Planet Soccer. In this capacity, I visited Longacre on many occasions and was delighted when I joined full-time in 2012.

Roles at School

Since completing my PGCE as part of the teaching staff, I have been able to indulge my passion for Mathematics and Sport, and have taught across all year groups in my previous role as Head of Sport and current role as Head of Maths. Recently appointed as the Director of Studies at Longacre, I oversee all matters academic and am passionate about the ethos of Longacre which remains unchanged since its inception. I enjoy playing a full and active role at Longacre with a particular highlight being the Form VI Roller Disco!

Away from the Classroom

An avid cyclist, I can often be seen clad in Lycra, riding across the Surrey Hills. Surfing is a big passion of mine (although only when the weather warms up) and I regularly play football, supporting the mighty red devils – Manchester United. I am also a governor at a local primary school.
