Lady smiling

Life before Longacre

After graduating with a degree in the History of the Fine and Decorative Arts, I initially worked in a London art gallery.  Although the job was interesting I felt that there was something missing so took a leap of faith and headed to Roehampton to complete a PGCE.  A wonderful time in a vibrant school in the centre of London cemented my love of teaching and following on from this, I worked as a class teacher in Guildford.  This was a lifetime ago and the children I taught are now making their way as adults.  It never ceases to make me smile when I find out their chosen careers.

Roles at School

After time away from teaching bringing up my daughter, I now work at Longacre as a 1:1 learning support teacher.  Without hesitation I can say that I have the best job in the world other than if I was offered work as a chocolate taster!

Away from the Classroom

Away from Longacre I am kept busy with family life, an unruly 15 acres, horses and dogs.
