Form V Tennis Club Trip to Wimbledon

Posted: 3rd July 2019

On Monday some of the Form V Tennis Club participants enjoyed an amazing day at Wimbledon. This day was a treat for the pupils who had worked so hard all year in Mrs Hall-Palmer’s tennis club. The group arrived at the venue in good time, ensuring they didn’t miss a minute of play, nor an opportunity to visit the shop! The children got to watch a variety of matches played by some of the world’s best male and female tennis players such as Djokovic, Edmund, Osaka, Wawrinka, Verdasco and the game of the day between Fabbiano and Tsitsipas.

For most of the pupils it was their first experience of Wimbledon and one they will not soon forget. They enjoyed every moment of the trip and represented Longacre in a very positive light. A huge thank you to Mrs Hall-Palmer for working so hard developing the players and for planning such a spectacular trip.
