On Monday the children from Form IIL spent the afternoon at Elmbridge Retirement Village in Cranleigh. The children (and teachers) thoroughly enjoyed their first visit to Elmbridge. They had a carousel of different activities to complete with the residents, focusing on our ‘Kings and Queens’ topic. They made crowns, wrote about what they would do if they were king or queen, read to the residents and also played some maths games. Bonds were made and the children grew in confidence to talk to the residents throughout the afternoon. They are already looking forward to their next visit.
