On Wednesday, Reuben, Bryony, Sebastian and Amy in Form V proudly represented Longacre at the highly anticipated maths challenge at Christ’s Hospital School where 21 schools pitted their wits against each other to complete a carousel of mathematical challenges against the clock. The challenges included tangrams, broken calculators, cycling curly, make 24, ordering cards and dominoes. The children pulled together with their individual talents and demonstrated good teamwork. Each round was fast paced and involved mental speed and agility. They persisted with some tricky problems which produced great results and placed seventh out of 39 teams – a fantastic achievement!
